overcome their inhibitions to speak and are based around the abilities of
the class. Our conversation classes target the areas the students wish to
be able to communicate efficiently in English and each course is
designed to meet the requirements of the company and the students
themselves. The courses are designed to be enjoyable and highly
interactive and most students are surprised at just how quickly they
improve, when they realize that they really do have a the ability to
communicate in English.

OIEC - Corporate Language Training
Conversational English
General English Classes
These generic courses are matched to the level and ability of the
students. The General English Courses range from beginner through to
advanced level and use a mixture of both learning and revising grammar,
vocabulary and pronunciation. The classes are conducted through a
highly communicative method of teaching with a minimal amount of
bookwork. The majority of learning is achieved through activities, games
and conversation.

Specifically written and designed for Legal departments, Internal
Auditors or High Level Negotiators within a company this course of
study is essential for any business or employees wishing to conduct
international trade.
The students learn through examining case studies in legal
departments, which enables them to prepare sample contracts. The end
result is that in the class we can practice negotiations and formulate a
contract. This will involve the usage of English terminology in legal
terms, and improve and update negotiation skills with western natives.
The participants will also learn legal terminology as it relates to
business. Together with the structure of companies in western countries,
understanding company liabilities, assets and agreements. In addition,
the class will look at some liability claims that have been made in the
power industry and how to mitigate potential losses.

English for Legal
English for Finance
The participants learn how to communicate in a “senior level” business
meeting, the correct use of questions and responses; and power words
to emphasize important points.  This will enable the participants to fully
participate in, and understand western business negotiations. The
participants will practice in a sample merger and acquisition scenario,
and learn the western business styles utilised in the financial world.  This
course is ideally suited to account department managers and senior
negotiators where negotiations will use simple through to complex
financial terminology associated with medium to large international
trade deals or M&A type deals

English for Presentations
This popular course prepares students for giving presentations and
attending meetings where English will be the main language used. As
giving a presentation in English is a much more complex task than
simply speaking English whilst giving a presentation students must
master many aspects of presentation during the course of study.
meeting is perhaps the key to starting to prepare ones own
presentation. Capturing an audience’s attention is also a key to success
when presenting material and this is often down to the correct stress
and intonation being used when presenting in English.. Logic
presentation techniques are also used during the course of study
enabling students to effectively make their point and close a deal.
Opening and closing remarks and the body of the presentation including
supporting visual aides as well as body language and pace and
intonation during the introduction and close of a presentation are
covered as this too can be one of the essential components to success.

components and progress assessment of participants is based on the framework for the course of study. Final grades are
given on each of the 2 components and students are assessed across the entire level comprising of the 2 chosen modules.

The participants learn how to construct a business letter, proposals, emails and memos; and how to emphasize points and
to motivate a response or make specific points clearly and precisely. In addition to structure commonly used phrases for
business correspondence are taught and the correct use of grammar and tenses used in different situations and the correct
use of formal and informal language when corresponding in English.

C - Business Communication
The participants will learn how to listen and recognise the spoken sentence. Understand stressed words and key phrases.
Use chains of reference to their understanding. They will also learn how to read and understand advertisements and
understand the concept offered. How to read timetables, flowcharts and memorandums.

D - Office English
The participants will learn how to communicate effectively in the office and /or workplace.  Understand the negotiation
process. How to read other people’s mannerisms. The participant will learn about the English terminology for office
speaking English.

E - Business Correspondence
The participants will learn how to comprehend, and how to respond to business correspondence as well as how to prioritise
correspondence in order of importance. Understand written complaints and their nature and taking action and responding
appropriately.

F - Report Writing
The participants will learn how to compose reports and prioritise the content and how to get the main points across quickly
and efficiently. This is particularly important in many Asian countries, as the styles of report writing are very different to what
is expected internationally. This is particularly true when dealing with international companies, NGOs and Foreign
Government Departments.

G - English for Negotiations
Preparing for negotiations, understanding western business negotiation techniques. In the module we utilise a project so
that the participants can negotiate where they can act as the buyer in a buyer’s market and a seller in a seller’s market. The
finer points of manipulating language and it’s use are emphasized in the course of this module.

G - English for Contracts
The Participants will look at a variety of contracts to ascertain the Clauses that could change the structure of a contract and
how to avoid some clauses that will lock a deal away from it original purpose.
